Fire Escape Route Plan

Dear students,

MDIS has established a Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) management programme as a systematic way of managing WSH in line with the Workplace Safety and Health Act 2006. This programme is now extended to cover these locations namely MDIS Campus at 501 Stirling Road, Dhoby Ghaut campus at 20 Orchard Road and MDIS Hostel at 503 Stirling Road with effect from 1st September 2011.

As a student of the Institute, it is important that you know about the safety practices that we have established. In order to have a safe environment to be in, you are advised to do the below:

1. Know the Fire Escape Routes/Plan placed within each classroom and strategic locations within the campus. Please see attachment enclosed.
2. Follow advisory notices put up at areas which are out of bounds i.e. Construction site.
3. Cooperate with lab personnel and observe Rules and Regulations when you are in the Science labs/Engineering labs/Media Hub/Tropical Breeze.
4. Practice safe practices within the Institute.
