Refund / Withdrawal / Transfer Policy


When you commence your course with MDIS College Pte Ltd (MDIS College), you are deemed to have read, understood and accepted our offer for the same upon the terms and conditions set out hereinafter. A copy of MDIS College’s Terms and Conditions of Offer is attached to every application form.

You are to produce all original documentary evidence of your prior educational qualifications upon enrollment at MDIS College. These may be either original certificates or official result slips issued by an examining authority. Failure to produce original documents, certificates as evidence may result in you being rejected from entry to your course of study.

All prices quoted exclude the prevailing Goods & Services Tax (GST)

Your admission to study at MDIS College is subject to your agreement to MDIS College’s Students Rules and Regulations inside the Student Handbook. A copy will be given to you.

1. Fee Payment Policy

MDIS College (MDIS College Pte Ltd) collects course fees in instalments. An administrative charge of S$100 (subject to prevailing GST) will be levied on each late instalment payment of the course fees. Fees are payable upon confirmation and acceptance of the place in the programme before the programme commencement. You may pay your fees by Cash, NETS, VISA, MasterCard, AMEX or by Cheque.

If payment is by cheque, please indicate the details of the programme applied for on the back of the cheque, stating clearly you personal particulars. Unless otherwise stated, all fees are subject to prevailing GST.

2. Refund Policy

Where the Student withdraws from the Course, the Private Education Institute (PEI) shall, as soon as practicable after receiving the Student's written notice of withdrawal, refund the student. Only the paid course fees are refundable in the following instances:

Note: The above percentage is to be applied to the standard first instalment amount payable for the particular course. If the actual payment exceeds the first instalment amount, the excess amount shall be fully refunded. If the first instalment payment is less than the standard first instalment due, the above formula is applicable based on the standard first instalment course fees and shortage shall be collected from the student. Excess amount paid over the first instalment, if any, shall be refunded in full.

 

A cooling-off period of seven (7) working days is applicable for a 100% refund from the date when the contract was signed.

3. Deferment Policy

  1. Request for course deferment must be made in writing. The student should write in to MDIS College to request for deferment from the course. All requests must be supported with documentary evidence. The refund policy applies.
  2. Deferment of subject is allowed only ONCE up to the next available commencement date of the course. Deferment of course is allowed only ONCE up to a MAXIMUM PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR, failing which the applicant will be deemed as having withdrawn from the course.
  3. Approval for deferment is at the sole discretion of the College. The decision of the College is final.
  4. Full refund will be given in the event of non-approval of National Service deferment BEFORE course commencement. A pro-rated refund will be given in the event of non-approval of National Service deferment AFTER course commencement.

4. Transfer Policy

All requests for transfer to any programme within MDIS must be submitted in writing and the refund policy applies. All discounts/rebates that the student was entitled to shall be forfeited.

5. Withdrawal Policy

  1. Request for course withdrawal must be made in writing. The student should write in to the Senior Manager of MDIS College to request for withdrawal from the course. All requests must be supported with documentary evidence.
  2. Students who are admitted into government institutions after course commencement will be given a pro-rated refund. All discounts/rebates that the student was entitled to shall be forfeited.
  3. Students with genuine financial difficulties and who wish to withdraw from the course should write to MDIS College for consideration. All requests must be supported with documentary evidence. Upon its final decision, the Institute shall inform the students in writing within a week.
  4. MDIS College shall within fourteen (14) days of receipt of the Withdrawal Letter mail you an acknowledgement of your request to the address found in your Withdrawal Letter or if there was not such address, then to the address set out in your enrolment form. For the purpose of course fee refund, time runs from the date of receipt of a Withdrawal Letter, which has been duly acknowledged by MDIS College.
